GSFC University and Vadodara Municipal Corporation jointly organized Swachhhta Abhiyan at Vadodara.

GSFC University, in association to Vadodara Municipal Corporation undertook cleanliness drive at eight (8) locations in the jurisdiction of Vadodara Municipal Corporation on 02.03.2019 (Saturday).

 

At each locations, a team of students, faculties and non-teaching staff of GSFC university with the support of VMC team actively and sincerely participated. They cleaned the garbage, arranged for its disposal, distributed pamphlets about maintaining cleanliness, educated citizens of Vadodara to maintain cleanliness and undertook the survey about the cleanliness aspects. GSFC University President Shri P K Taneja, ( IAS Retd.) ,Shri Ajay Bhadoo, IAS ,Municipal Commissioner, Shri P J Aundhiya, GAS,  Dy. Municipal Commissioner(Health) with other officials of GSFCU and VMC also participated in the said cleanliness Drive.

 

In support to this drive, Shri P K Taneja, ( IAS Retd.),  President-GSFC University expressed that the objective of involving students in such drives is to increase their awareness about the social issues particularly the dignity of labour and to make them socially responsible . Shri Ajay Bhadoo, IAS, Municipal Commissioner-Vadodara expressed that cleanliness drive is a demand of time and to make it successful is a responsibility of one and all. Both the dignitaries took round of different locations of drive and motivated all participants. Shri P J Aundhiya, GAS , and his team extended whole hearted support to campaign.
